Koreatown
Koreatown is a neighborhood in Central Los Angeles, California. With unrivaled population density and proximity to Downtown Los Angeles, Koreatown is a true infill market that benefits from the many urban amenities that surround it. According to the Los Angeles Times, it is the most densely populated district by population in Los Angeles County. It has a population of over 205,000 consisting of over 76,000 households and has the most concentrated Korean population outside of Seoul, South Korea. Koreatown contains a business district of 8.2 million square feet of office space.
Both the MTA Red Line and the MTA Purple Line run directly through Koreatown, providing easy public transportation options throughout the city. Additionally, Koreatown provides close proximity to the 110, 10, 101 and 5 freeways, offering easy commutes to the San Fernando Valley and West Los Angeles. Koreatown is immediately adjacent to Hancock Park, one of the most notable and affluent residential areas in Los Angeles.
Koreatown is currently undergoing a renaissance that rivals that of Downtown Los Angeles. It is being quickly transformed from an ethnic enclave of restaurants and small businesses to an upscale destination with high-end residential, retail and commercial venues. Many businesses have relocated to the area, taking advantage of the affordable rents while providing better quality employment opportunities to local residents. More and more people are using the increasing popular and versatile transit system. Restaurants, grocery stores, and boutique coffee houses are opening their doors to service the increasingly sophisticated residential population. This positive momentum will continue as more mixed-use developments continue to change the neighborhood dynamic.

Wilshire Boulevard
Wilshire Boulevard is one of the principal east-west arterial roads in Los Angeles, California. It was named for Henry Gaylord Wilshire (1861-1927), an Ohio native who made and lost fortunes in real estate, farming, and gold mining. Henry Wilshire initiated what was to become Wilshire Boulevard in the 1890’s by clearing out an unassuming twelve-hundred foot path in his barley field. The road first appeared on a map under its present name in 1895.
